Glencairn was built in 1890, its first owner being Sir Alexander Matheson Bt who was the local Member of Parliament and a Director of the Highland Railway and whose country seat was Ardross Castle from which the street derives its name. A choice of standard and en-suite rooms is offered and the whole house is completely non-smoking. There are many restaurants within five minutes walk of the house.
