Stirling enjoys one of the most dramatic settings of any town in Scotland. The Castle dominates the skyline and the town is steeped in history. Stirling's Hostel is built behind the facade of the historic Erskine Marykirk Church (1820's), and is right in the heart of things - close to the Castle, the Guildhall and the Tolbooth. Places to visit include the Wallace Monument, the site of the Battle of Bannockburn, Kings's Park, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, and Cambuskenneth Abbey. Stirling is an excellent base for exploring the Central belt and is within easy reach of both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
