Golf has been played here since 1562. The Medal course is the fifth oldest in the world with undulating fairways running along the dunes and a proliferation of gorse, gulley and valleys, it provides a challenge right up to the final green. The Broomfield Course is flatter and easier. Medal Course: 18 holes, 6,470 yards, par 71 (SSS 72). Broomfield Course: 18 holes, 4800 yards, par 66 (SSS 63).
