The Park stretches from Mintlaw to neighbouring Old Deer and provides a mix of natural environments and is host to many varieties of plants and animals. A nature trail introduces you to some of the wildlife along an easily followed route and there is ample scope for walks of different lengths including access to the long distance Buchan Line Walkway.
The Heritage Centre vividly tells the story of North East farming in three related interpretative themes. Explore the "Aden Estate Story". Talk with the Guide making "breid" and find out what estate life was like in the 1920's.
Move on to the atmospheric displays of "Weel Vrocht Grun - Well Worked Ground" then conclude with an introductory video to Hareshowe Working Farm where North East farming in the 1950's is brought to life by Guides and seasonal demonstrations on 20 worked acres.
At the Wildlife Centre you'll see interesting displays of the kind of wildlife you can expect to see in and around the park.
