Built by Lord MacDonald in 1815, the neo-gothic castle is today a sculptured ruin and focal point for the Here, sheltered by 200 year old trees, many exotic plants shrubs and flowers flourish.
The award-winning museum, with many fascinating displayed in six interconnecting galleries, takes you through 1,500 years of the history and culture of the area known as the Kingdom of the Isles.
