Guthrie Castle

Built by Sir David Guthrie in 1468, the original square keep consisted of three stories and a garret. The castle was abandoned in about 1760 and a new house built nearby. In 1848 the house and castle were linked by a panelled Great Hall.

The grounds include a loch, horseshoe-shaped walled garden, 160 year old yew hedges shaped as a Celtic Cross, and a golf course.
