Motherwell Heritage Centre is a stunning modern building situated high up on the Clyde Valley skyline and just minutes from junction 6 on the main Glasgow -Carlisle motorway, the M74. Visit the 'Technopolis' audio-visual experience and travel through time from the days of the Romans to the years of heavy industry.
See and hear how families lived and worked in the Victorian period and how the labours of the workforce forged steel for some of the world's finest feats of engineering. Then take a climb (lift available) to the top of the fifth-floor viewing tower and enjoy panoramic views of the Clyde Valley. Interested in family history? Pop into the local studies room and trace your local roots.
