The most prominent landmark on the Berwickshire coast, St Abb’s Head is well-known for its sea bird colony. Some 60,000 guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes nest on the ledges of the 100m high cliffs. A few pairs of puffins can also be seen on the slopes either side of Nunnery Point. In spring and autumn the Head is a good place for migrants. Spectacular cliff top flowers.
The clear water off the Head are exceptionally rich in marine life. This marine reserve is now one of the most popular shore diving sites in Britain. Nature reserve centre, with remote camera link to nesting seabirds.
