The jail sits in the heart of Stirling's historic Old Town. Through live performances and multi-lingual audio tours, you can contrast the reality of daily prison life in Victorian Scotland with that in a modern Scottish prison of today. You can also escape in the glass panelled lift to the prison roof, where you will enjoy stunning views.
As you explore the jail, you can visit the unfortunate visitors in their cells, hear tales of their crimes and punishments and encounter Stirling's notorious hangman, Jock Rankin. You may even witness an attempted jailbreak.
