Golf in Aberdeen & Grampian Highlands

Home > Where to Go > Regions > Aberdeen & Grampian Highlands > Aberdeen & Grampian Highlands - Get Active > Top Golf

One of the finest areas in Scotland for golf, Aberdeenshire has many superb links and parkland courses.

The North East boasts two of Scotland’s most celebrated links courses, Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay. For the links connoisseur these are distinctive and savoury examples of true seaside golf. Royal Aberdeen's front nine has long been considered one of the finest stretches of links holes while Cruden Bay, with its wild, sea dunes and dramatic setting, captures the heart of every earnest golfer.

Aberdeen & Grampian is a large area and there are many other fine courses especially along the Moray Coast and inland among the whisky distilleries. The city of Aberdeen also offers some excellent golf, with the advantage of good hotel prices at the weekend when the oilmen go home. Royal Deeside is another useful area, ideal for a week’s golf on some superb courses.

The Grampian area has been known for quality golf at a very reasonable fee. Golfers can build an excellent itinerary choosing courses from Stonehaven in the south and then work their way either around the coast or inland. However you choose to tackle Grampian and the North East you will be assured of a warm welcome in an area that is well-used to golfers and that takes a great pride in its wealth of excellent golf facilities.
