Walking It’s so easy to find interesting walks in the city. Follow the signposts by the Water of Leith, cross Arthur’s Seat to find a historic pub in Duddingston, walk in the footsteps of Robert Louis Stevenson on the Pentland Hills.

Leisure Facilities Plenty of choice here – the capital is well-endowed with sports centres and swimming pools, including the famous Commonwealth Pool. The Ratho Centre, to the west, is Scotland’s national climbing centre; while just to the south of the city, Hillend, Britain’s best dry ski slope, offers year round skiing.
