Getting Around Scotland by Air

Home > Travel > Getting Around > By Air

It’s a quick hop by plane from Edinburgh to Wick, Stornoway, Shetland or Inverness. From Glasgow you can easily get to many small airports throughout the Western Isles and Argyll – as well as Shetland, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Some of the flights are an adventure in themselves – if you fly in to Barra, you will land at the only beach airstrip in the world to take scheduled flights!

Airports & Airlines
Scotland has a good network of internal flights with continental & North American links from its airports.
