Europe's first city centre seaplane service was launched yesterday by Loch Lomond Seaplanes.
Leaving from the Clyde next to the Glasgow Science Centre, the regular flights in a nine seater Cesna 208 to Oban - 'Gateway to to the Isles' will take just 29 minutes.
Loch Lomond Seaplanes owner, Captain David West said, 'I wanted to get the romance back into air travel. Scotand's geography and lochs offer a natural transportation network'
'This will put Glasgow and the West of Scotland in the same league as Vancouver, Seattle and Sydney.'
