Isle of Mull

Home > Where to Go > Regions > Argyll & Bute > Argyll & Bute - See & Do > Argyll & Bute - The Islands of Argyll > Isle of Mull

This mountainous Island, with its brightly painted capital of Tobermory, offers some of Scotland’s best wildlife watching experiences.

Famous for its sea eagles, Mull is also well known for its whale and wildlife watching boat trips. There are regular cruises to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.

With good fishing, some great hill walking – Ben More is Scotland’s ‘last Munro’, the castle of Duart, Tobermory, a narrow gauge railway and a whisky distillery, there is plenty to see and do.

Colourful Tobermory, with its brightly painted houses, has gained fame as the setting for the children’s television show Balamory.
