With many inviting courses, including some superb heathland venues, the area has a host of golfing options.
There are a great many courses where visitors are made most welcome. Courses such as Bridge of Allan Golf Club, Glenbervie, Stirling Golf Club, Dunblane, Falkirk Tryst all form a backbone within the more populated areas but it only takes minutes to drive into the natural sanctuary of the Trossachs and find first-class heathland venues such as at Aberfoyle or Callendar with absolutely stunning views.
The route from Stirling towards Dunfermline on the north side of the River Forth offers an interesting golf tour. From Alloa to Yetts of Muckhart there is literally a string of inviting courses to play. Alloa’s Schawpark is one of the best in the area but golfers will delight in courses such as Dollar or Muckhart.
