Cycling
Good ferry links make inter-island cycling straightforward, while Shetland also has its part in the North Sea Cycle Route, which takes in 7 countries.

Walking in Shetland
Wild seascapes, cliffs and beaches, archaeological sites and wildlife encounters - these are some of the rewards for walking in Shetland - and the islands even have their own walking festival.

Adventure
You could take a boat trip for a sea-level view of soaring cliffs, covered in nesting birds. Or walk to the hilltop on the Hermaness reserve for a view of Muckle Flugga - the tip of Scotland. Or catch the ferry to the further-flung islands, to see the cliffs of Foula for instance. Finding an adventure in Shetland is easy - it’s an adventurous kind of place!
