Castle Stalker

This spectacular mid 16th century tower of the Stewarts of Appin stands on a small rocky island 100 yards off shore. Derelict from the 18th century, it was recently restored.

Crinan Canal

An amazing achievement in its day, the canal opened in 1801. It allows vessels to reach the West Highlands without rounding the treacherous Mull of Kintyre. Good viewing points at Cairnbaan and Crinan Basin.

Dalavich Forest Reserve

One of the largest native oakwoods in Argyll, a good place to see red squirrels and pearl-bordered fritillaries. Attractive oakwood trail and interpretation centre.

Dalmally Church
