A small urban nature reserve beside the River Clyde with meadows, marshland and woodland. Over 170 species of birds have been recorded here. Two nature trails and four birdwatching hides.
Steep gorges have protected this rich mix of ash, oak and wych elm from felling and grazing. Carpets of bluebells and primroses in spring. Warblers, flycatchers and redstarts breed here. Network of paths.
This attractive reserve, with a shallow loch, wet meadows and ponds, holds an amazing variety of birds in both summer and winter. Excellent wildlife viewing opportunities from four hides and an observation tower.
