This most unusual church was built in 1592. Square with a central tower it was thought that the design may have come from the Low Countries. The galleries inside have wonderful painted panels.
Built in the 12th century, Leuchars is one of the finest Romanesque churches in Scotland. Of the original church only the chancel and apse survive, the nave was added in the 19th century.
Impressive remains of the largest cathedral in Scotland, completed in 1318 it was plundered at the Reformation. Museum with celtic and mediaeval carved stones.
