Clava Cairns (HS)

Opened in 1822 this was one of the great engineering undertakings of its day. The four locks at Muirtown lead to the Muirtown Basin once intended as a second harbour for Inverness.

Craig Phadrig Fort

Corrimony Chambered Cairn (HS)

This outstanding chambered cairn, with roofed passage and central chamber, surrounded by a ring of eleven standing stones, looks much as it must have done when first built 4,000 years ago.
