Just across the bay from the bustle of Oban, this peaceful island offers a selection of delightful walks. Gylen Castle at its southern tip was once a MacDougall stronghold. It was destroyed in 1647 after all its defenders had been massacred. There is a tea garden and bunkhouse not far from the castle
