Glasgow is well-served from a cycling point of view with signposted routes both on the national cycle network and other traffic-free routes, enabling the visitor to link up with countryside around the city.

To the west, the Clyde Muirshiel Park has many good trails. The West Highland Way starts at Milngavie on the northern outskirts of the city, and the Trossachs and Ben Lomond are no distance away.
