Yell

Shetland’s second largest island Yell is mostly covered by a blanket of peat up to 10 feet deep. It has some excellent coastal walks and is one of the best places in Britain to see otters as they fish along the coast. Burravoe, to the east of the ferry terminal at Ulsta, and a trading centre for hundreds of years, is home to the Old Haa Museum.

Ro-ro ferry from Toft on the Mainland to Ulsta and from Belmont on Unst to Gutcher.
