Founded in 1890 the club is situated in a commanding position high above the town with some of the best views of any course in Scotland. The clubs two courses designed by former open champion James Braid make excellent use of the undulating moorland. The tight free-lined fairways, odd burn and bunker and small greens are a test of players at every level. Big Course: 18 holes, 5838 yards, par 69 (SSS 69) Wee Course: 9 holes, 2200 yards, par 32 (SSS 32)
