Armadale Castle Gardens and Museum of the Isles

Built by Lord MacDonald in 1815, the neo-gothic castle is today a sculptured ruin and focal point for the 40-acre garden. Here, sheltered by 200 year old trees, many exotic plants shrubs and flowers flourish.The award-winning museum, with many fascinating artifacts displayed in six interconnecting galleries, takes you through 1,500 years of the history and culture of the area known as the Kingdom of the Isles.Gift shop, restaurant, library and study centre, woodland walks and nature trails.
