Dallas Dhu Historic Distillery (HS)

This delightful Victorian distillery was built between 1898 and 1899 to supply malt whisky for the 'Roderick Dhu' blend. Dallas Dhu produced its first whisky in June 1899, and although production ceased in 1983, there is a small quantity of whisky maturing which keeps the Dallas Dhu taste alive. The distillery with its pot stills, malting floor, malt kiln and other equipment, is a perfectly preserved time capsule of the distiller's art. Unlike a normal distillery, visitors to Dallas Dhu can follow closely the old-style processes from start to finish.Visitor centre, shop and audio-visual theatre. Audio tour available.

Closed Thursday afternoons and Friday in winter.
