The centre is devoted to the life and times of Lewis Grassic Gibbon who grew up in Arbuthnott, Kincardineshire and was later to become one of Scotland's best known authors.The centre comprises an exhibition of the author's writings and possessions together with an attractive cafe serving light meals and refreshments throughout the day.
