Kinneff Old Kirk

Kinneff, Nr Stonehaven

Kinneff Kirk, rebuilt in 1738, is famous for having been the hiding place of the 'Honours of Scotland'; the crown, sceptre and sword. Smuggled out of Dunnottar Castle during Cromwell's siege of 1651, they were buried inside the church.
