Alloway, Ayr

Robert Burns, Scotlands best known poet, was born here on 25th January 1759. Among the attractions are the poets birth place, the whitewashed Burns Cottage, a museum, the Tam O'Shanter experience, a modern visitors centre, Alloway Old Kirk, where Burns' Father is buried and the Brig O'Doon.
