Drumcoltran Tower (HS)

Dalbeatie

This beautifully preserved tower house was built for the Maxwells in about 1550. It was still occupied in 1890. Today it is surrounded by a busy modern farmyard. There is an exciting parapet walk around three sides of the roof with great views.

Opening Times

All year. April to September 9.30am – 6.30pm every day. October to March 9.00am – 4.30pm every day.
