Kilchoan, Acharacle
Standing on mainland Britain’s most westerly point this 36 metre high lighthouse, still operational, is the only one in the world to be designed in the Egyptian style. The engine room and workshop, including the air-powered fog horn have been beautifully restored. Interesting exhibitions.
