Cromarty Lighthouse
An almost urban lighthouse, it sits at the end of George Street in the middle of this historic town. Built in 1846 to mark the entrance to the Cromarty Firth it was decommissioned in 2006. The keeper’s cottage is used as a field station by the University of Aberdeen Zoology Department.
