Fidra Lighthouse

This uninhabited island off North Berwick acquired its lighthouse in 1885. It is one of the islands, Unst is another, claimed to be the inspiration of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island’ but is chiefly noted as an RSPB reserve. Live pictures of the birdlife are beamed to the Seabird Centre in North Berwick.
