St Abbs Head Lighthouse
Lit in 1862, the lighthouse marks the southern entrance to the Firth of Forth. The lighthouse was built below the highest point of the cliffs, as they can be shrouded in fog. St Abbs Head is a national nature reserve, with spectacular seabird colonies. A visitor centre a little way inland has information on the wealth of birdlife, plants and butterflies. Parking near the lighthouse is reserved for those unfit to walk the mile or so to the coast.
easy way to organise your trip to Scotland.
