An ideal stopping point on the road to John O'Groats. This Centre tells the story of the Pre-Viking Kingdom of Catti and follows the progress of settlers from their Scandinavian homes to Shetland, Orkney and Caithness.On display are models of the Viking settlement at Freswick, a longship and genuine examples of currency used. Also audio-visual displays of Pictish, Pre-viking and late Norse archaeology of Caithness.Shop, toilets and a picnic area.
