Tarbat Discovery Centre

Set in a grade-A listed historic church, Tarbat Discovery Centre presents an internationally important archaeological dig. The Centre displays wonderful carved Pictish stones, many for the first time, as it explores Scotland in the Dark Ages and the unfolding story of the powerful Picts. Here was an important monastic community; adjoining present-day Portmahomack, whose sandy beach and many traditional buildings make the ingredients for a perfect day out.

March - April, September - December, 2pm - 5pm daily. May - September 10am - 5.30pm daily.
