Tarbat Ness Lighthouse
This 41m (134ft) high red banded lighthouse, completed in 1830, is the tallest on the Scottish mainland. Its pre-automation optics are now in the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich.There is an interesting walk around the headland from the attractive village of Portmahomack.
