Tomb of the Eagles
Liddel, St. Margarets Hope
This 5000 year old cliff top barrel cairn is quite unlike any other historic site. Most of the artefacts excavated from the cairn – human skulls, sea eagle talons, pottery, bone and shell beads, stone implements and flints – are on display in the adjacent visitor centre.Craft shop and refreshments.
Opening Times
March, daily 10.00am - 12.00pm. April to October 9.30am - 6.00pm. November to February – Visitors welcome by arrangement.
