Eshaness Lighthouse
Lit in 1929, this was the last manned lighthouse designed by a Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board. Its square tower was built of concrete to save money.It is located close to some of Britain’s most spectacular coastal scenery. The former keeper’s cottage - once owned by American author Sharma Krauskopf – is now holiday accommodation.(Shetland Lighthouse Holidays.)
