Eilean Glas Lighthouse
This historic 1789 light on the Island of Scalpay was one of the original four lighthouses agreed by the Commissioners for Northern Lights. It is said that one of the last great auks was killed here. The lighthouse is reached by rough footpath from Out End. There are superb views out across the Minch to the Shiants and the mountains on the mainland
