Dennis Head Lighthouse
North Ronaldsay
Built in 1789 on North Ronaldsay, this is the oldest lighthouse in the Northern Isles. It ceased operation in 1854 after the completion of the new Dennis Head Lighthouse, the tallest land-based lighthouse in the British Isles.
