Auchindrain Township - Open Air Museum

by Inveraray

Auchindrain is an open air museum consisting of the restored old township of that name, along with related domestic and working life collections. There is also a visitor centre containing an introductory exhibition on west highland life as well as the usual visitor facilities. The township is presented as it would have been around the turn of the last century with the houses and cottages furnished and the outbuildings equipped to offer visitors the opportunity to step back in time and view the domestic and working lives of the west highlander in a past age.
