Museum of Flight

Discover the story of man's determined ambition to take to the skies. Two massive hangars, part of an historic World War 2 airfield, are packed with aircraft, engines, rockets and memorabilia - from Britains oldest surviving aeroplane and a Spitfire to the massive Vulcan bomber and Blue Streak space rocket. The museum holds a major airshow each July and features a cafe run by BBC TV's Clarissa Dickson Wright. Museum shop and the Parachute Café.

Opening Times

16 March to 30 October 2005, daily 10am to 5pm. 31 October to 31 March 2006 weekends only, 10am to 4pm.
