Angus Folk Museum (NTS)
Glamis, Forfar
Housing one of Scotland's finest folk collections, this museum presents a vivid insight into how the rural workforce used to live. Six charming 18th-century cottages contain the domestic section, and the agricultural collection is in the farm steading opposite, illustrating changes in the Angus countryside over the last 200 years. One of the most dramatic artefacts is the restored 19th century black horse-drawn 'Glenisla' hearse.
Opening Times
April to June and September, Friday -Tuesday 12pm - 5pm; July to August, daily 12pm - 5pm.
