Rahoy Hills Wildlife Reserve (SWT)

Ardtornish, Morvern

The 1700 hectare Rahoy Hills Reserve is managed for its wildlife value by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, in partnership with the Ardtornish Estate which runs a working sheep farm over part of the area. The varied geology from loch-side to mountain summit has created an exceptionally diverse range of habitats, where many different plants and animals can be seen. The easiest access to the reserve is from Acharn, where cars may be parked at the start of the track up the Black Glen. Before entering the higher areas of the reserve, visitors should contact the Scottish Wildlife Trust Community Officer or Ardtornish Estate staff (Tel: 01967 41288). Guided walks are available during the summer.
