On the banks of the River Braan is one of the finest collections of trees in the country. These impressive mixed conifer and deciduous woodlands are also home to numerous other flora and fauna. A series of trails spread out from the car park, with the manmade highlight lying above the wooded gorge in the shape of a picturesque folly - 'Ossian's Hall'.
