St Cyrus National Nature Reserve (SNH)

This special reserve of sand dunes, heathland and cliffs at the mouth of the River Esk is a delight to visit whatever the time of year. St Cyrus is well-known for its distinctive range of plants including many southern species such as the clustered bellflower and maiden pink. Little terns, eider ducks, fulmars and herring gulls are among the 47 species of bird that breed here. Visitor centre and waymarked trail.
Opening Times
Reserve is open at all times. Visitor centre and toilets open daily April to October, and Monday to Friday November to March
