Unst, West of Scalloway

This spectacular, inhabited island, with the second highest (370m) sea cliffs in Britain, holds great numbers of breeding seabirds including puffins, guillemots, Manx shearwaters, storm and Leach's petrels and a small colony of gannets.

Directions

14 miles west of Mainland. Ferry on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Walls. By air from Tingwall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
